Social programme

Enjoy Aalborg: On-line magazine from VisitAalborg

The social programme offers events for the conference participants as well as accompanying persons. The events are either included in the conference fee, according to your booking at the time of registration, or charged as indicated below. Participants must wear a name badge.

Get-together - Buffet: Tuesday, June 9th 2015, 18:00-20:00
After arrival and registration, participants are invited to an informal get-together at the conference venue, Aalborg Congress and Culture Centre.
The Get-together is the perfect opportunity for you to socialize with your fellow conference participants. Included in the conference fee for participants. Participant must present the name badge. Accompanying persons must present a ticket obtained at the registration.

Reception at House of Music: Wednesday, June 10th 2015, 18:00-19:30
The City of Aalborg’s official opening reception will be held at the House of Music (Da.: Musikkens Hus). This fascinating building, situated close to the waterfront, opened in March 2014. 
The building is design by the renown architects at Coop Himmelb(l)au and is the new gathering place for music in North Jutland. The House of Music has 4 concert halls and is the home of a variety of musical educations, Aalborg Symphony orchestra and the center of Danish jazz history among others.

Enjoy the opening reception and be inspired by this beautiful house. Appetizers and beverages will be served. A short speech is given by the Deputy Mayor and entertainment by the Mads Kirkegaard/Nikolaj Svaneborg Duo: "In our cosy duo we are both deeply fascinated of the pure style Scandinavian jazz. We try in the best way to communicate this sound through interpretation of classical American standards and some of the most beautiful ballades in time. Our goal is to create a Nordic atmosphere with room for differences, melancholy and og melodious improvisation."

The reception is included in the conference fee for participants. Participants must present the name badge. Accompanying persons must present a free ticket obtained at the registration.
Dinner after the opening reception is on your own, but why not try one of the restaurants along the waterfront or in the city area, see Good to know

Conference Dinner: Thursday,  June 11th 2015, 18:30-
The dinner is held at the highly ranked Restaurant Fusion near the waterfront.
The restaurant is a fusion kitchen between French and Asian cuisine. With its beautiful location on Aalborg’s newly established waterfront, the restaurant is ideally situated right next to the city center and a short walk from the conference venue. You can enjoy the impressing view of the limfjord while networking with other conference participants.
The number of seats is limited to 300. Participants and accompanying persons must present a ticket obtained at the registration.
